NMS/ EMS
Tech Mahindra has worked extensively on Element Management Systems (EMS) for managing various types of Network Elements (NE) including Softswitches, Next generation signaling servers, Media gateways, Multimedia service platforms, PSTN Class 4 switches, Next generation Class 5 switches, Broadband wireless access equipment (base stations & CPEs) etc.

SIGNALING & SWITCHING
Tech Mahindra’s competency in legacy TDM switching and Next Generation Voice over IP technologies makes it a partner of choice in the converged world. Starting with the signaling on CAS, MF R2, ISDN to SS7, it has played pivotal role in enhancing customer’s switching systems with the AIN call model and features development over advanced SCP platforms. The new era of Next Generation Switching (VOIP) started much before year 2000 for Tech Mahindra, as it developed Voice Over IP protocols (H.248, MGCP, SIP, Sigtran, BICC), softswitch platforms and played a key role in upgrading customers’ legacy switching architecture with Softswitch capabilities as a true migration strategy. Tech Mahindra has made significant contribution in Class4, Class5, Enterprise and Centrex solutions and has strong expertise in both ITU-T ANSI and other national standards .
ACCESS
Tech Mahindra has extensive capabilities in software and hardware development, testing, installation and long-term product sustenance in wireline and wireless domains on a wide variety of Network Elements including B-PON, G-PON, DLCs, MSANs, Broadband & Residential Gateways and other CPEs. OPTICAL Tech Mahindra’s Optical Networks Division addresses the growing demand of high bandwidth intensive optical transport systems by providing software, hardware and customer support solutions for optical transport networking equipment manufacturers in LONG HAUL, METRO-CORE, METRO-EDGE and the ACCESS network space. Network elements in this domain are based on standards and technologies like SONET, SDH, MEF, DWDM, ATM, IP, EOS (Ethernet Over Sonet/SDH), POS (Packet Over SONET/SDH).
