Participation in Semiconductor Forums

Our Semiconductor practice works actively with International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI).

ISMI is a consortium of 16 chip manufacturing companies, such as Intel, IBM, TI, AMD, Samsung, TSMC and Infineon, which together account for more than 70 percent of global chip production.

Our Semiconductor vertical joined forces with ISMI to complete a next generation Advanced Software Tester solution that validates the automation capabilities of advanced factory equipment.

Automation software testing products available today are limited to the static testing of SEMI Equipment Communications Standard (SECS) or Generic Equipment Model (GEM) 300 SEMI standards implementations.

The Advanced Software Tester (AST) automatically tests current SEMI standards, such as Electronic Design Automation (EDA), as well as GEM 300, representing high volume production use. This product also supports testing scenarios as defined by ISMI, and enables users to create their own test cases for validation of their specific production environment.

Our collaboration with ISMI in support of these critical industry requirements provides a solid technical foundation for standards conformance testing. ISMI provided us with the product requirements reviewed critical stages of the project and helped in validating the solution. The stable version of the product with support for EDA 1105 and GEM 300 is already available. A beta version of the product with added support for EDA 0710 is likely to be ready by June 2013.
