Subscribers make calls all over the world. This call is routed through multiple varied networks – some owned by the host operator and many owned by other Telcos or Network Providers. The host operator is thus liable to pay the network suppliers a rated share of revenue his subscribers generate through these calls. Different suppliers have different rates based on the products they offer in terms of QoS, distance covered and other parameters. Thus it is of utmost importance for the host Telco to route customer calls through the most optimal and cost-effective route.
