CP Gurnani has been honoured as ‘IT person of the year 2013’by Dataquest. The jury chose CP for his exemplary contribution in making Tech Mahindra India's fifth largest IT services company. Widely recognized as the premier business awards for ICT industry in India, these awards also honoured individuals and organizations for 40 categories in IT & Telecom domains.

C P Gurnani has been recognized with the 'CNBC Asia India Business Leader of the Year' award.

Over the years CNBC-TV18's India Business Leader Awards, have honoured and celebrated outstanding leadership in business and the economy. The Awards seek to recognise leaders who have excelled in building profitable, sustainable and socially conscious businesses as well as leaders who have, through contemporary policy-making, contributed to driving growth.

MSAT won India’s prestigious ‘Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise’ (MAKE) Award for year 2012.


The MAKE award is given by Teleos in association with the KNOW Network- an independent analytical body. Like Gartner or a Forrester for IT Services, Teleos and KNOW Network are bodies for  Knowledge Management. 


MSAT & TechM KM Head Bheemesh Kumar  received the India MAKE award 2012 at the CII – Knowledge Summit 2013 held on 7th March 2013 in Mumbai.

Tech Mahindra has been featured in the Global Services 100, 2013 List. The list is a set of companies that define leadership in the global services business. These are hundred best companies chosen through a methodology that evaluates each company across multiple dimensions, measured both quantitatively and qualitatively.

The Global Services 100, now in its eighth year, is a tool for buyers of business and technology services that help them identify and select the right vendor. The GS100 analytical model is based on four key criteria: performance and leadership, quality and maturity of customers, breadth of services offered, and spread of global delivery capabilities.

Saral Dhan has won the “Runner Up” trophy at Manthan Awards 2013 under the category “Digital Solutions for Business and Financial Inclusion”. SARAL DHAN is a bouquet of banking services for the unbanked and under-banked rural regions of India. Access to basic banking services is still quite poor in India.

Manthan Awards recognizes the BEST use of ICT and digital tools to create holistic and comprehensive impact on people. Manthan Awards are less about technology and digital media and more about the right use of the digital and technological tools.

It was launched on October 10, 2004, by Digital Empowerment Foundation in partnership with World Summit Award, Department of Information Technology, Government. of India, and various other stakeholders. Since then it has come to define the very best in e-Content and digital practices for development arena in the entire Asia region. After four immensely successful years of holding it within India, its areas of operation now include all of South Asia and Asia Pacific countries.

Tech Mahindra has won the Appreciation award (3rd) for its Integrated Warranty Management solution at the CSI 2013 Awards for Excellence in IT. The award is instituted by Computer Society of India (CSI), the largest organization of IT professionals. CSI Awards for Excellence in IT acknowledge organizations that bring out the best of innovations, performance, achievements and excellence.

Tech Mahindra's Warranty Management Solution provides an environment for all stakeholders to come together and manage the warranty claim life cycle efficiently. It is a unified multichannel solution that manages warranty from definition through processing to closure, leveraging Pegasystems’ Business Process Management framework.

In recognition of outstanding performance and contribution towards BASE’s (KPN subsidiary in Belgium) success last year, Tech Mahindra has been awarded the 2013 Supplier Award for BASE, Belgium.

KPN Group uses more than 125 companies as major suppliers for materials and services. Tech Mahindra was one of only three suppliers to receive the 2013 Supplier Award and the only one in the IT Services space. We were awarded for helping BASE deliver outstanding service to its customers during the past year. We were recognized for our contributions across a broad scope of criteria including flawless transition from the incumbent, teamwork, customer service, product/service performance, sustainability, and supplier diversity results.

CanvasM has developed a Mobile App for ING (Netherlands) called “ING Ambassador App”. ING has internal awards based on three strategic priorities - ‘Customer centricity’, ‘Operational Excellence’ and ‘Top Employer’.

Ambassador App supports the Top Employer program at ING, providing ING employees with the tools they need to empower them as Ambassadors, encouraging them to grow and serve their customers and society.

Tech Mahindra’s solutions EMRI and FightBack were announced as Gold winners by Financial Express on November 30, 2013.

FightBack, the women's safety application, sends SOS alerts from the mobile phone. FightBack uses GPS, SMS, location maps, GPRS, email and your Facebook account to inform loved ones in case of danger. EMRI solution provides emergency care through an integrated single Emergency contact number (108) which is accessible from all fixed lines and mobile phones across various cities. Today, EMRI covers a population of more than 610 million people across 14 states, caters to approx. 200,000 calls per day of which 10% require emergency care. Number of lives saved by this solution since 2005 has surpassed 615,000 (as of Dec 2013).

Tech Mahindra has won the “Best Sourced Opportunity Award 2013” for Amlin. This award is a testimony of growing relationship with HP. HP hosted the Sales Summit in FY14, with the theme “Play to win!” We changed the game in FY13 and NOW, we are playing to win in FY14!

Mahindra Comviva, has won the prestigious Meffy’s award in the ‘Social responsibility’ category for EcoCash, a mobile payment service offered by Econet, Zimbabwe. EcoCash is powered by Mahindra Comviva’s mobiquity® mobile money solution which has over 60 deployments in 42 countries. The awards were presented at the prestigious ceremony held recently at MEF Global Forum 2013, in the Silicon Valley.

The Meffy’s awards, presented by the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), are established and coveted global awards and are acknowledged as the global benchmark for measuring success and rewarding innovation in mobile content and commerce. MEF is the global trade association for companies wishing to monetize their products and services via mobile.

Tech Mahindra’s Managed Data Services (MDS) wins the Data Management Project of the year award for the implementation of their Managed Data Service (MDS) which is a fully managed data management platform. The winners were announced at A-Team’s Data Management Summit held in London on October 3.

This is an initiative by Information Week to identify, recognize and honour end-user companies in India that have demonstrated the best use of technology to solve a business problem, improve business competitiveness, and deliver quantifiable ROI to stakeholders.

The award was presented on October 25, 2013, where Tech Mahindra won this award for the third time: 2010, 2012 and now 2013!

Tech Mahindra won the “IT Pride of Karnataka” award by the STPI, for outstanding performance in IT exports and continued contribution to IT industry. This award is won for the second year in a row. The 21 IT/ITES/Electronic Hardware companies were awarded for their top performance in terms of consistency in exports, employment and other related parameters for 2012-13.

The STPI Karnataka IT Export Awards is an annual awards event organized by STPI, Government of India and Department of IT and Government of Karnataka to recognize top performing IT and IT services companies for their major contribution to exports for the state. The ‘Pride of Karnataka' award was introduced in 2012.

Tech Mahindra has won 4 awards at the Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2013 Ceremony, held in Delhi on October 25, 2013, namely, the Tech Mahindra Mobility Practice (erstwhile CanvasM) for Innovation in Mobile Application Testing, Tech Mahindra for Innovation in OSS/BSS and 2 by Mahindra Comviva for Best Telecom Product and Business Intelligence.

Aegis Graham Bell Award® is the largest award in the field of T.I.M.E. (Telecom, Internet, Media, and Edutainment). This award is the initiative of Aegis School of Business, a leading Business School for Telecom Management in India. Aegis Graham Bell Award® was conceived in the year 2010 as a tribute to the father of the telephony, Sir Alexander Graham Bell by recognizing excellence and for creating an ecosystem to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of T.I.M.E.

Tech Mahindra has been awarded the “Champion Innovation” award at the 2013 Juniper Champions Summit. The award recognizes partner organizations for their capabilities, technical excellence and ability to develop innovative solutions around Juniper’s product portfolio.

Tech Mahindra has won the Best Blended Learning Program (Gold) Award, at the TISS-LeapVault CLO Summit 2013.

Instituted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences along with LeapVault, this award recognizes top contributions to learning in India and is declared during CLO summit, an annual meet that aims at evangelizing and promoting Individual and Organizational Learning & Development.

Our entry for the Best Blended Learning Program showcased our Level 2 Capability Development where we designed an integrated Classroom + Virtual + Self Learning intervention leveraging technology platforms like ATT Connect (Vshare), Domain Labs, Telecom Corridor with Audio Guide, Webinars and Webchats by Experts and iTube to build Level 2 skills.

CP Gurnani, Jagdish Mitra and Manoranjan Maopatra (Mahindra Comviva) were awarded in different categories at the Hitec India Awards ceremony, on June 29, 2013.

CP Gurnani was awarded the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ as the ‘Business Transformation Evangelist of India’ and Jagdish Mitra and Mao were awarded under ‘India’s Top 20 CEO and MD Awards for 2013”.

The Call Center Excellence Awards honor, recognize and promote the most innovative call center solutions and individuals over the past year. With awards given in eight categories, they are dedicated to recognizing superior thinking, creativity and execution across the full spectrum of call center functions.

Tech Mahindra BSG received an Honorable Mention in the Best Outsourced Provider category.

This award is a reinforcement of the execution and delivery capabilities of Tech Mahindra BSG.

The joint nomination of Tech Mahindra and BT Global Services has won the iCMG Enterprise & IT Architecture Excellence award in the category “IT Landscape Rationalization” for the year 2013.

TeliaSonera, the largest Operator in Nordics and Baltic and Europe’s 5th largest Operator, has awarded TechM with the “Most Engaged Business Partner Award’ for its M2M Business Unit.

The award was presented on TeliaSonera’s yearly M2M partner day on 10th May 2013 at a ceremony held in Stockholm. This award is a recognition for the partner who has helped TeliaSonera drive new business through differentiated M2M offerings.

Aiming to ensure safe and secure environment for women employees, IT industry body NASSCOM felicitated winners of All India App Fame Contest 2013, which focused on creating solutions for women safety. The theme for this year was 'Collaborating forces for Women Safety'.

FightBack was among the top ten recognized applications in the arena. It is a women safety SOS mobile application developed by CanvasM Technologies Ltd. This is a free online application that uses mobile capability like GPS, SMS and GPRS along with email and social media integration and can be downloaded from

The FightBack mobile app has vast applicability and can be used by anyone who is vulnerable and needs immediate help, even the enterprises can use it for their employee’s safety.

Mahindra Comviva won two major awards at the Global Telecom Business Innovation Awards 2013. The company has been awarded for EcoCash mobile payment services to Econet Zimbabwe, powered by its mobiquity® mobile money platform and Managed Music services to Airtel Africa for Hello Tunes.

GTB Award recognizes innovation which has made a huge difference to the service providers and their consumers.

EcoCash was recognized for delivering financial and payment services to the Zimbabweans - the majority of whom are unbanked and thereby providing a mechanism of organized financial services to reach all segments of the society.

With its Managed Music services, Mahindra Comviva assumes complete responsibility for managing Airtel’s ringback tones business in 9 countries, by meeting the entertainment needs of music loving people in Africa.

The MSAT developed Agile PLM solution won the Best Application Award at the recently concluded Oracle Value Chain Summit in San Francisco last week.

Solution automates Supplier Collaboration processes such as SCAR, PQP, SCN, ASL and is currently deployed to 20,000+ suppliers worldwide.

Mark Bienkowski (Global Supplier Quality Manager, GEHC) received the award and acknowledged our contributions in making this a reality. MSAT was the only SI involved in this project end-to-end, from design to testing to production and now support.

Agile PLM team which is part of CES-P2Pr led by BK Kumar was involved in delivering this award winning solution. Over the years, this team has been responsible for delivering PLM success at marquee clients such as Apple, Cisco, GSK, GE Energy, Valeo.

Mahindra Comviva (a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra) won GSMA Global Mobile Awards 2013 in the “Best Consumer Mobile Service” category for their mobiquity® mTicketing services to Bangladesh Railways in collaboration with two leading mobile service providers. 

Mahindra Comviva’s mobiquity® mTicketing service enables Bangladesh Railways (serving 65 million passengers annually) to digitize ticketing transactions, extending greater convenience to consumers whilst improving sales efficiency. The service allows customers to purchase tickets using a prepaid mobile wallet or over-the-counter at an authorized outlet.

Comviva’s Managed VAS Services has been recognized as the most innovative service at the Golden Peacock Awards 2012 on Feb 9 2013. This is Comviva’s 8th consecutive Golden Peacock award.

The Golden Peacock Innovation Award are considered to be the greatest form of recognition for corporate excellence in areas of innovation, quality, training, governance, environment management and corporate social responsibility.

Comviva’s Managed VAS service is based on a framework of defined modules and processes that enable Comviva to manage an operator’s complete VAS portfolio. It has empowered the operators across the globe to optimize their performance in four critical areas: revenue, customer service experience, cost and speed to market.

At the PegaWORLD 2013 Partner Awards, Tech Mahindra (erstwhile Mahindra Satyam) won the “Best Sell With - For Customer Success” award for its partnership with Pegasystems in developing and delivering a Global Warranty Solution for a Fortune 10 manufacturing major.
