Minister of Transport and Communications, Finland

Timo Harakka is Finland’s Minister of Transport and Communications. He was previously Minister of Employment. He has served as Member of Parliament since 2015. He is well known in Finland as an active debater, social influencer and cultural figure. Prior to his political career, he worked for over 30 years as a journalist, writer and TV producer. He has published several books and articles on European Union, economics, taxation and societal issues.

Timo Harakka was born in Helsinki on 31 December in 1962. He graduated from the Helsinki

University of the Arts with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in 2005.

He is married with three children.

TL is a consumer tech enthusiast and a motorsport fan. He currently lives in Helsinki, with his wife and daughter.

Todd brings to Cradlepoint over 30 years of executive experience in startup to growth-stage companies spanning mobile, networking, security, and cloud technologies. Before Cradlepoint, he was CMO at Pertino (acquired by Cradlepoint in 2015), a pioneer in software-defined cloud networking. Previous roles include COO at Red Lambda; CEO at Gearworks (acquired), where he received EY Entrepreneur of The Year nomination; VP of Worldwide Marketing at Packeteer (IPO, acquired); and VP of Marketing at Sync Research (IPO, acquired). Earlier in his career, Todd held software development and network engineering roles at AT&T subsidiaries and product management and sales roles at Siemens Communications Systems. He and holds two networking-related patents, and is currently a co-founder and executive board member at the Minnesota Emerging Software Advisory (MESA), a non-profit C-level mentoring organization for emerging software companies in Minnesota.
