Challenge

  • Group has third party vendors processing various HR activities
  • Most of the processes are manual processed and with low productivity
  • Legacy applications are expensive to maintain and are mostly in silos
  • Not much enhancements and process improvements in recent past

Strategy and Insight

Tech Mahindra was involved as the sole vendor to help understand, analyze, unify, and provide a solution on both the business process and software solution

TechM team used Design Thinking concepts to shadow business users, take interviews, brainstorm improvements, and come up with unified process flows

TechM did a comparative technology study and SAP being the source system- SAP SuccessFactors as front end for Employee core which includes Employee Data, Employment Data, Time Off, Pay Components and Performance and Goal Management to address all the pain areas

Strategy and Implementation

The solution comprised implementing SAP SuccessFactors as a E2E SAAS based platform to handle entire HR Transformation journey in two phases

SAP Employee Central module has been identified to manage a comprehensive employee master from hire to retire which include time attendance and leave management processes

Data migration from legacy systems to SuccessFactors was accomplished utilizing in data model templates

Impact

  • Effective use of SAAS based platform to standardized the HR and business processes across the organization
  • Seamless Integration between SuccessFactors and legacy SAP ERP and 3rd party applications using SAP PO (Process Orchestration)
  • Eliminated the manual updates though system process
  • Increased Operational efficiency through automation and streamlined business process with improved workflows and authorization models
  • Consolidated real time reporting for business to draw insights
