Raymond Ha is a Senior Informatics Systems Analyst at Genentech Research. Raymond earned his B.S. in Biological Chemistry from The University of Chicago, and worked for 10+ years in early-stage research and drug discovery at various academic and biopharmaceutical companies before transitioning his career to informatics 15 years ago. In his career, Raymond has worked as a scientific researcher, contracts manager, product manager, and now as chief product owner leading a 30+ member software development group at Genentech Research & Early Development (gRED). Specifically, Raymond's teams spearhead digital transformation efforts in support of global protein production and onsite research operations. During his 12 years at Genentech (2004-2011, and 2016-current) Raymond received the 2010 gRED Key Researcher Award and 2018 Research Biology Recognition Award for significant contributions to the company’s success. In addition to his strong track record at Genentech, Raymond has also worked at numerous leading software and pharmaceutical companies such as Isomorphic Software, Exelixis, diaDexus, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals in a variety of roles.
