While the whole world is grappling with COVID-19 \, an unkno wn remote access Trojan called ‘PoetRAT’ attacked the Azerbaijan’s wind turbines. The Malware was distributed using URLs mimi cking Azerbaijan’s Govt. domain and compromised their SCADA systems. The “Remote Access Trojan” could take control of the compromised system\, transfer large files\, install key loggers\, steal browser-focused passwo rd\, control camera applications\, and other generic passwords. The potent ial costs and follow-on effects from a cyber-intrusion are enormous\, from regulatory sanction to securities or other litigation. This could happen to any other manufacturing\, oil and gas\, energy and utility companies as well.
