CP Gurnani appointed as Chairman for NASSCOM for 2016 - 2017

Raman Roy appointed as NASSCOM Vice Chairman 2016-2017

Hyderabad, 06th April 2016: National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) today announced the appointment of Mr. CP Gurnani as its Chairman for 2016-2017. Mr. Gurnani will take on the new role as Chairman of NASSCOM effective 6 April 2016. He succeeds Mr. BVR Mohan Reddy, who served as Chairman of NASSCOM for 2015-16. Mr. Gurnani is part of NASSCOM’s Executive Council and is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tech Mahindra. As Chairman of the Executive Council, Mr. Gurnani will lead and assist NASSCOM in catalyzing the growth of the Indian technology and services industry and enabling the fulfillment of its future goals and aspirations. The Executive Council also announced the appointment of Mr. Raman Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of Quatrro Global Services as the Vice Chairman of NASSCOM for 2016-17.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. CP Gurnani, Chairman, NASSCOM and MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra, “I feel very humbled to be given this opportunity, at a time when the industry is on the threshold of an exciting new journey. About Mr. CP Gurnani

CP Gurnani, (popularly known as CP) is the MD & CEO of Tech Mahindra. CP played a pivotal role in the three year transformational journey of Mahindra Satyam and has spearheaded the eventual merger with Tech Mahindra. An accomplished business leader with extensive experience in international business development, start-ups and turnarounds, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, CP in many ways led Tech Mahindra’s transformation journey, where he contributed significantly to the company’s strategy and philosophy. His inimitable style of leadership combined with his sharp focus on customer experience has helped Tech Mahindra to emerge as one of the leading providers of IT Services and Telecom Solutions to the global telecom ecosystem. About Mr. Raman Roy

Mr.Raman Roy is widely regarded as the Pioneer and “Guru” of the BPO industry in India.  He is fondly referred to as the “Father of the Indian BPO Industry”.  He has played a pivotal role over the last 30 years in promoting India based servicing. Raman is a pioneer four times over, having successfully pioneered and led the BPO initiatives of American Express, GE (now Genpact) and Spectramind (now Wipro BPO) before starting Quatrro in mid 2006. Raman is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant with a Doctorate in Management Accountancy.  In his career spanning 35+ years, he has handled roles in Finance, Consulting, Operations and General Management with equal ease.
