Evaluation Process

Evaluation will be done in three phases


  • Interested participants must submit an abstract of their proposed work in the following areas
    • Drones: For applications in agriculture, surveillance, forestry and logistics with the integration of GIS and image processing algorithms and features to withstand high wind and gusts, EMI/EMC and robust navigation
    • Structural Health Monitoring: Sensor technologies, managing Big Data, Signal processing, digital data communication, wireless data acquisition, accelerated & automated methods for conventional NDI equipment, Computational techniques for damage evaluation & damage growth
    • Digital Aircraft: Electronic flight bag/log book, mobile based applications for MRO, RFID integrated solutions, technologies related to digital aircraft domain
    • 3D Printing: Additive manufacturing, Functional prototypes and related technologies


  • Participants whose abstracts/ideas are selected in Phase I must submit project report in the next two months that comprises of:
    • Accomplishment in terms of the product design and prototype development
    • Roadmap for successful completion


  • The projects which are submitted in Phase II would be evaluated and the best two projects in each of the four categories would be shortlisted for partial or full funding based on the originality, depth, application of the new method, technology or tool, industry orientation, feasibility, analysis and interpretation
  • The shortlisted teams will have to complete the project along with working prototype in the timeframe of two months and they have to present the same for our panel at the Tech Mahindra facility. The winners will be facilitated in the awards ceremony on the following day.
