Nyck De Vries

Nyck De Vries makes his return to Formula E. Having clinched the inaugural World Championship during Season 7, Nyck brings with him invaluable experience from his notable career in Formula 1 with Williams and Scuderia AlphaTauri. He has had four ePrix victories and four podium finishes, and the 28-year-old stands as a pivotal contender for the Championship title that will contribute significantly to his team’s prospects. Started his racing career in karting, the Dutch sensation has had a meteoric rise through single-seater racing, claiming victory in the 2014 Formula Renault Eurocup. Nyck’s success continued with impressive performances in Formula Renault 3.5 and the GP3 Series before recently securing the 2019 FIA Formula 2 title.

Edoardo Mortara

36 years old Edoardo Mortara burst onto the motorsport scene in 2010 by clinching both the Formula Three Euro Series title and securing double victories on the iconic streets of Macau. Transitioning from a prominent career in the DTM, Mortara made his comeback to single-seater racing in 2017 with his debut in Formula E during the Hong Kong E-Prix. The impact was immediate, earning a podium finish with second place in his debut weekend. A year later at the same venue, he claimed his first victory in the category and has since grabbed five more triumphs along with an impressive run of six additional podium finishes. Of particular note, this driver pairing marks a significant collaboration between the two principal contenders for the Season 7 title. Mortara, finishing a mere seven points behind the eventual World Champion De Vries.
