Harshvendra Soin (Harsh) is President – Asia Pacific and Japan Business at Tech Mahindra. With a profound track spanning various industries, Harsh brings in a dynamic wealth of expertise and experience. In his diverse career of over 30 years, Harsh has had rich experience of several Indian and multi-national companies across healthcare, telecom, retail, and hospitality.
Harsh has been an integral part of Tech Mahindra, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success, for over a decade. Prior to his current role, he has held the position of Global Chief People Officer and Head of Marketing, People Supply Chain, and Corporate Services.
Earlier, Harsh was country head at Tech Mahindra (Canada); led the Global Leadership Acquisition and Development; and was Head – Business HR for APAC and EMEA (Telecom and Enterprise) for Tech Mahindra.
Before his stint with Tech Mahindra, Harsh was Chief People Officer at Fortis Healthcare Limited. He also worked with Aditya Birla Retail Limited as Chief People Officer, and was responsible for the rapid scale up of the organization. Harsh has worked with Bharti Enterprises, holding several senior positions at the Corporate Office, such as Senior Vice President – People Excellence, Head – HR for Bharti Retail Ltd. He has also worked with the Oberoi Group.
Harsh is a thought-leader—often invited to share his views on diverse topics as a key-note speaker and panelist across various forums, industry and academia leadership and learning sessions. He has written various articles centered on the themes of human resources as an ally to driving business goals, diversity and inclusion, HR technology, employer branding, strengthening organizational culture, to name a few. With his unique experience and expertise across business and people domains, his views are often quoted in media.
Harsh’s extensive experience, leadership acumen, and innovative thinking have been instrumental in driving strategic focus within the organizations he has been associated with. He has been the recipient of several accolades, such as Leader of the Year 2023 and CHRO of the Year 2022-23. He also was conferred with the CMO of the year award in 2022. During his stint in Canada, Harsh was awarded the top 75 ‘Friends of Canada’ award.
Harsh is currently on the Executive Committee of the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD), an Initiative of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), Geneva. He is also a board member of the esteemed Mahindra University and Chandigarh University, and has been the past President of NHRD (Hyderabad). Harsh is a Gold Medalist in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from University Business School, Chandigarh. He has completed his Bachelor of Law from Punjab University.
