Industry Challenge

As per the Indian Government’s visionary Sagarmala Project, all major ports in India were envisioned as Smart Ports through digitization and the adoption of next-generation technologies. A centralized, web-based Port Community System (PCS) was required to enable smooth data flow between different stakeholders through a common interface. To support this vision, major ports needed a strong ERP system to ensure paperless, transparent, and seamless operations.

Empowering Operations with PortNxT

PortNxT, Tech Mahindra’s integrated Port Operations System, and the SAP ERP application were implemented to provide a unified view of maritime operations and enhanced drill-down capabilities. Standardized ERP modules, covering finance, materials management, sales & distribution, port operations, and asset management, —were deployed and integrated into the National Logistics Portal (NLP-Marine) for unified stakeholder engagement.

Automating ERP Systems

The centralized, automated ERP system delivers real-time dashboards, unified reporting, and predictive analytics. With standardized processes, master data management, and integration with the Port Community System (PCS), Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS), Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), and CCTV, the system ensures transparency, faster decision-making, and measurable productivity gains.
